      History
The Barons enjoys an enviable location in one of the most historically significant areas of London. The avenue was named after the barons who gathered here in 1263 to challenge the authority of King Henry III. A bus- or boat-ride away, 500-year-old Hampton Court Palace was once home to King Henry VIII, and offers a glorious palace and gardens, children’s activity area and famous maze. Marble Hill House and Sandycombe Lodge (once home to the artist JMW Turner) are a stone’s throw from our apartments, while Richmond has its own palace and a wealth of great architecture.

Nearby Twickenham Stadium, the world famous rugby union venue, hosts international and domestic matches, concerts, events and the World Rugby Museum. For tennis enthusiasts, the All England Club at Wimbledon can be reached direct by rail from Richmond station.
